What is Omega-3?
Omega-3 are unsaturated fatty acids that contain eicosapentaenoic
acid
(EPA), and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). They are often
referred to as Fish Oils as they contain nutrients abundant in fish such as
salmon, tuna, and halibut. Omega-3 are essential fatty acids used by the body
for processes such as brain function and growth and development. While you may
be able to get enough Omega-3 through diet alone supplementing with Omega-3 can
help to attain enough EPA, and DHA to promote general health in many profound
ways. Omega-3’s have been proven to reduce inflammation in the body and joints,
and drastically lower the risk of heart problems, arthritis, and cancer. Omega-3
are essential supplements for anyone with high cholesterol, high blood
pressure, diabetes, depression, arthritis, and many other diseases. Generally
speaking supplementing with omega - can promote overall wellness and prevention

How to take Omega 3?
Omega 3’s are best taken with meals 2-3 times a day. A dose of
4000-6000mg (4-6 capsules) per day is optimal to get all the benefits from
Omega 3. Some research has shown higher and lower doses but 4-6grams remains
the standard dose. Splitting the doses into 1-2 capsules at 3 meals is best for
absorption of Omega 3’s.
What to stack with Omega 3?
Omega-3 may be stacked with almost any supplement depending on its
desired benefit. For joint pain and reduction of inflammation a stack of
Omega-3 with Glucosamine and MSM can provide relief from pain in the joints.
Omega-3 if being used for prevention of diseases such as cancer, heart
problems, etc it may be stacked with green tea extract.

Muscle Building- Omega-3 can allow one to build muscle and recovery more
efficiently. Omega-3 reduces inflammation in muscles especially when training
frequently which can lead to better recovery. Also omega-3 can improve blood
circulation to promote a healthy cardiovascular system to allow proper blood
flow to the muscles. Omega-3 have shown to be anti-catabolic meaning they help
to maintain muscle tissue while allowing fat loss.
Fat Loss- Studies show that Omega-3 supplementation can lead to fat loss
by increasing the rate of lipolysis in the body. Omega-3 acts on key enzymes in
the body to improve cell membrane fluidity to allow more fat to be released
from the cell to be burned off. Omega-3 are shown to raise UCP (uncoupling
proteins) which causes a increase in cellular energy in the form of heat. This
